Driver & Stores Support [United Kingdom]


 

An opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Driver & Stores Support, working from our Hull office.


Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 per annum

Hours of work: Basic Hours – 0730 – 1700 (Flexibility when required)

About the role:

  • To arrange the most efficient logistical deliveries and collections of plant, equipment and de contamination units throughout the country.
  • To remain compliant with relevant tachograph drive times and legal requirements where required.
  • To work in conjunction with other members ensuring all plant and equipment is serviced and kept up to date communicating with all contract managers.
  • Loading and unloading at both customer sites and back at branch.
  • Carry out airport runs for operatives travelling out of the country as and when required – they will be flexibility on working hours to reflect the flight times.
  • To ensure all hire equipment is inspected and any damage recorded and photographed at time of collection.
  • To ensure all collections are compliant with asbestos regulations and deviations are flagged to line manager promptly.
  • To ensure daily vehicle checks, loadings, and vehicle maintenance are completed, recorded and issues reported to line manager promptly.
  • To ensure company procedure is followed for any road traffic accidents or incidents.
  • Following training make sure all DCU’s are checked and operational before delivering and collecting from sites.
  • To build and maintain excellent relationships with customers ensuring you are a positive ambassador for the Rhodar Industrial Services brand.
  • To provide support in Stores by picking, dispatching and conducting workplace housekeeping.
  • To carry out any other appropriate duties as requested by Senior Management.
  • Weekend and out of hours work will apply when needed for delivering plant and equipment or personnel, this will be paid as part of the over time rate.
  • Face fit and medical will be provided as plant and equipment is all asbestos related.
  • A vehicle will be provided following training along with a mobile phone to maintain communications at all times.

About you:

  • Full clean driving licence with B&E Towing Category.
  • CSCS card is required if already not in place to allow safe access to construction sites.
  • Excellent time keeping skills.
  • Self-motivated but also willing to work as part of a team.
  • Experience working to deadlines.
  • IT Literate.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Hands on approach and a “can do” attitude.
  • High standard of work ethic.
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Ideally 3 years’ experience of driving.
  • Good knowledge of the road network in the UK.
  • Experience in the Hire industry is ideal but not essential.
